Using CasePoint

What CasePoint is

CasePoint is a legal information and introduction service for England and Wales. We publish general guides, provide a self-assessment tool that organises the information you give us, sell preparation checklists, and — with your consent — introduce you to an independently regulated solicitor.

What CasePoint is not

We are not a firm of solicitors and we do not give legal advice. Nothing on this site is advice on your particular circumstances, and using the site does not create a solicitor–client relationship with us or anyone else.
We are not a claims management company. We do not pursue claims, negotiate on your behalf, or take any share of any recovery.
The CasePoint Report and the limitation estimate are organisational tools based on the information you enter. They are estimates for guidance only. Limitation is fact-specific; only a solicitor reviewing your documents can confirm your deadline.

Solicitors we introduce

Solicitors on our panel are independent of CasePoint, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and responsible for their own advice and conduct. They pay CasePoint a flat subscription to be listed. CasePoint receives no commission, referral fee or payment per enquiry. Any engagement you enter into is directly with the solicitor, on their terms.

Preparation checklists (£10)

Checklists are digital content, delivered immediately after payment via the link on the confirmation page and in your Stripe receipt.
Because delivery is immediate, you agree at checkout to waive the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If the content is faulty or not as described, contact us and we will put it right or refund you.
Checklists are for your personal use. They are not advice on your case and preparing one does not stop a limitation period running.

Accuracy

We check guides against primary sources and update them when the law changes, but the law of England and Wales changes and guides may be out of date. We do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on general information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Panel accounts

Panel accounts are for solicitors regulated by the SRA. By creating an account you confirm your SRA ID and business address are accurate and may be published alongside your content, and that your firm holds professional indemnity insurance. Content you submit is licensed to CasePoint for publication and editing; you retain copyright. Subscriptions are monthly, billed through Stripe, and can be cancelled at any time to take effect at the end of the current period.
